Frequently asked questions

How do I choose where to credit a flight?

Look up the operating airline and the booking class on your ticket, then compare what each partner program pays for that class. Distance-based programs pay a share of the miles flown, and revenue-based programs like United MileagePlus pay per dollar on their own tickets, so cheap long flights usually favor a partner and expensive short ones favor the airline's own program.

Can I credit a flight to any airline's program?

Only to programs that partner with the airline operating the flight, usually members of the same alliance or airlines with their own earning agreement. Each airline page lists every program with an earning chart for it.

What is a booking class?

A single letter, like Y, K or T, that sets how many miles a ticket earns. It's on your booking confirmation or e-ticket, usually next to the cabin name. It isn't the same as the longer fare basis code.
