AwardHack now supports Canada. You can track 28 Canadian credit cards in Canadian dollars: Aeroplan, Amex Membership Rewards, RBC Avion, Scene+, BMO Rewards, WestJet, VIPorter, Marriott Bonvoy, Avios, PC Optimum and cash back. Every card's annual fee, welcome bonus and statement credits are in CAD, and every point is valued in Canadian cents. If you hold US cards as well, AwardHack shows each card in its own currency and converts your totals to the currency most of your cards use.

What you can do with Canadian cards

  • Track your cards with their annual fees, renewal dates and welcome bonus progress in CAD.
  • Use your statement credits: the Amex Platinum's $200 travel and $200 dining credits, Instacart credits on the Cobalt, Gold Rewards and Platinum, NEXUS rebates on the Aeroplan and Platinum cards, and BMO eclipse's $200 Lifestyle Credit.
  • Track point balances for Amex Membership Rewards Canada, RBC Avion, Scene+, BMO Rewards, PC Optimum, WestJet Rewards and VIPorter, alongside Aeroplan, Avios and Marriott Bonvoy.
  • Find transfer partners for Amex Membership Rewards Canada and RBC Avion, with their Canadian ratios.

All 28 Canadian cards at a glance

Annual fees are the regular primary-card fee in CAD, before first-year waivers or banking-package rebates. Earn rates are points (or percent cash back) per $1.

What Canadian points are worth, in CAD

AwardHack values each program at what a points enthusiast can reasonably expect, the same way it values US programs, and shows the fixed redemption rate as a floor. Values are in Canadian cents per point.

ProgramAwardHack valueFixed floorBasis
Amex Membership Rewards (Canada)2.0¢1.0¢ (statement credit)Transfers 1:1 to Aeroplan
Aeroplan2.0¢1.0¢Prince of Travel and Milesopedia both use 2.0¢

Marriott Bonvoy0.8¢–Prince of Travel
BMO Rewards0.67¢0.67¢150 points = $1 on travel
PC Optimum0.1¢0.1¢10,000 points = $10

Multiply a card's earn rate by the value to compare cards fairly. The Cobalt's 5x at 2.0¢ is worth 10% on eats and drinks. The Scotiabank Gold Amex's 5x at 1.0¢ is worth 5%, BMO eclipse's 5x at 0.67¢ about 3.4%, and PC Optimum's 30 points per $1 at Loblaw stores 3%.

WestJet dollars became WestJet points on April 30, 2025, at 100 points per dollar, so a WestJet point is worth 1¢.

Where Canadian points transfer

Only two Canadian bank programs transfer to airlines and hotels: Amex Membership Rewards Canada and RBC Avion. Scene+, BMO Rewards, PC Optimum and VIPorter have no airline or hotel transfer partners.

Several welcome offers end soon: BMO eclipse Visa Infinite Privilege and BMO VIPorter on October 31, 2026, both Scotiabank cards on November 1, the WestJet RBC World Elite on November 18, both RBC Avion cards on November 25, BMO Ascend on December 7 and PC World Elite on December 31.

How welcome bonuses are counted

Many Canadian offers arrive in steps, for example points on your first purchase, more after a spending target and an anniversary bonus a year later. To compare cards fairly, AwardHack counts the steps you can earn in your first 6 months and shows the full offer, including anniversary bonuses, in each card's details. Cards that pay a monthly bonus through the first year, like the Cobalt and Gold Rewards, count the whole year.

How to get started

  1. Create a free account, or sign in.
  2. Open the dashboard and add your cards. Canadian cards show a 🇨🇦 flag in the card picker.
  3. Add your point balances in the points tracker, and mark statement credits as you use them in the benefits tracker.

How this data was checked

Every card was checked on October 21, 2026, against the issuer's own product page, terms or offer footnotes, with two Canadian card databases as cross-checks. BMO's website refused automated access that day, so the three BMO cards rest on Milesopedia, Frugal Flyer, Prince of Travel and the two card databases, which agree with each other. They will be re-checked first. Point values come from Prince of Travel and Milesopedia, and transfer ratios from Amex Canada and RBC, plus Canadian points blogs where Amex's partner page is out of date. Offers change often, so confirm the current offer on the issuer's site before you apply.

FAQ

Which Canadian credit cards does AwardHack support?

28 cards: 23 personal cards from Amex, TD, CIBC, RBC, Scotiabank, BMO, Rogers Bank and PC Financial, and 5 business cards from Amex and TD. They cover Aeroplan, Amex Membership Rewards, RBC Avion, Scene+, BMO Rewards, WestJet, VIPorter, Marriott Bonvoy, Avios, PC Optimum and cash back.

Are Canadian cards shown in Canadian dollars?

Yes. Annual fees, welcome bonus spending, statement credits and point values for Canadian cards are all in CAD. If you also hold US cards, each card keeps its own currency and totals are converted, marked with "≈".

How much are Aeroplan points worth?

AwardHack values Aeroplan points at 2.0 Canadian cents each, in line with Prince of Travel and Milesopedia. The floor is about 1.0 cent.

How much are Amex Membership Rewards points worth in Canada?

2.0 Canadian cents each, because they transfer 1:1 to Aeroplan and British Airways Avios. The floor is 1.0 cent as a statement credit (1,000 points = $10).

Which Canadian points transfer to airlines?

Amex Membership Rewards Canada (to Aeroplan, British Airways, Flying Blue, Cathay Pacific and Delta) and RBC Avion (to British Airways, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines and WestJet). Scene+, BMO Rewards, PC Optimum and VIPorter don't transfer to airlines.

Is the Amex Aeroplan Card's annual fee going up?

Yes. It rises from $120 to $150 on January 12, 2027, and the Aeroplan Reserve rises from $599 to $799 the same day. TD's and CIBC's Aeroplan cards also go up in January 2027.

Can I track US and Canadian cards together?

Yes. Each card shows its amounts in its own currency, and your totals are converted to whichever currency most of your open cards use.
