The Edit Hotels Map: Find Chase Sapphire Reserve Hotels Where Two $250 Credits Stack
One hotel stay, up to $900 in value
The Chase Sapphire Reserve costs $795 a year, and a big chunk of what you get back comes from hotel credits. Most cardholders know about The Edit credit. Fewer realize that, for 2026, a single prepaid stay at the right hotel can trigger two separate $250 statement credits, plus a $100 on-property credit, plus your $300 travel credit if it's still unused.
The catch is finding that hotel. The Edit has nearly 1,500 properties, and only a small slice of them also belong to a brand on Chase's Select Brand list. Chase Travel doesn't make that overlap easy to see.
The Edit Hotels Map does. It shows all 1,487 hotels in The Edit by Chase Travel across 92 countries, and one checkbox narrows the map to the 171 properties where both $250 credits can apply to the same booking.
The Sapphire Reserve hotel credits, explained
Here's what's on the table for a Sapphire Reserve cardholder in 2026, according to Chase's card terms:
| Credit | Amount | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| The Edit credit | Up to $250 per booking, $500 per calendar year | Prepaid ("Pay Now") stay of 2+ nights at an Edit hotel via Chase Travel |
| Select Brand credit | Up to $250, 2026 only | Prepaid 2+ night Chase Travel booking at IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor or Pan Pacific |
| Edit property credit | $100 per stay | Food and beverage credit used at the hotel |
| Annual travel credit | Up to $300 per card anniversary year | Applies automatically to travel purchases |
A few details that trip people up:
- The Edit credit is two separate $250 credits. Each one needs its own qualifying booking. A single $800 stay still only gets $250.
- The Select Brand credit isn't limited to The Edit. Any qualifying prepaid Chase Travel booking at those brands counts. But only Edit hotels also trigger the Edit credit and the Edit perks, which is why the overlap matters.
- The Select Brand credit ends December 31, 2026. Chase has described it as a 2026 benefit, and no 2027 version has been announced as of October 2026.
- The $300 travel credit runs on your card anniversary, not the calendar year.
How to use the Edit Hotels Map
-
Search for a destination. Type a hotel name, brand, city or country into the search bar. The map zooms to matching properties.
-
Tick "Also eligible for the $250 Select Brand credit." This is the double-dip filter. It hides every property that only qualifies for the Edit credit, leaving the hotels where both credits can apply to one stay.
-
Narrow by brand or price. Open Filters to pick brands (IHG, Montage, Omni and so on) or set a nightly price range.
-
Switch between Map View and Search View. The map is best for browsing a region. Search View lists properties as cards, which is easier when you're comparing a handful of hotels.
-
Sign in to see prices. With a free AwardHack account, each hotel shows its lowest nightly rate we've found, and you can Sort by lowest or highest price.
-
Click a hotel to open its price calendar. Each property has its own page with a 12-month nightly price calendar, the cheapest month, the typical (median) nightly rate and the Edit benefits.
Tip: Your search and filters are saved in the URL. Click Share to copy a link to exactly what you're looking at. The Recent changes button shows which hotels Chase has recently added to or removed from The Edit.
Worked example: a 2-night stay with both credits
Say you find a Kimpton or InterContinental in the double-dip results at about $260 a night. Two nights, with taxes, comes to roughly $600, and you book it prepaid through Chase Travel.
| What happens | Value |
|---|---|
| The Edit credit posts | $250 |
| Select Brand credit posts | $250 |
| Your net cost after both credits | about $100 |
| $100 food and beverage credit at the hotel | $100 |
| Daily breakfast for two | included |
If your $300 travel credit is still unused this card year, it can absorb that last $100 too. The room is effectively free, and you still have $100 to spend on food and drinks at the hotel.
Where the $900 figure comes from: the travel credit applies automatically to travel purchases, so if it's unused when you book, it can land on this reservation too. On a bigger booking ($800 or more), that's the Edit credit ($250), the Select Brand credit ($250) and the travel credit ($300), plus the $100 property credit at the hotel: $900 in value from one reservation, more than the $795 annual fee.
Be honest with yourself about the travel credit, though. It applies to almost any travel purchase, so you'd likely use it anyway. The value that's truly unique to this booking is the $500 in hotel credits plus the Edit perks.
A second stay adds $350 more. Your second $250 Edit credit needs its own 2-night prepaid booking, and it brings another $100 property credit. Across both stays, that's up to $1,250 in credits and property value.
What the data says about The Edit
These numbers come from the dataset behind the map, which is refreshed daily.
1,487 hotels in 92 countries. The United States has 562 of them. Italy (100), Mexico (67), Spain (66), the United Kingdom (59) and France (52) round out the top countries.
About half of Edit hotels aren't part of a big chain. 765 properties are independents or smaller groups (listed as "Other" in the brand filter). Of the major chains, Marriott has the most (244), followed by Four Seasons (126), IHG (125), Accor (95) and Hyatt (76).
171 properties qualify for both credits. IHG makes up the bulk of them:
| Brand | Double-dip properties |
|---|---|
| IHG (InterContinental, Kimpton, Six Senses, Regent) | 124 |
| Montage and Pendry | 14 |
| Minor Hotels (Anantara, NH Collection) | 13 |
| Omni | 12 |
| Virgin Hotels | 5 |
| Pan Pacific | 3 |
Those 171 hotels are spread across 44 countries, with 65 in the US.
The overlap hotels are cheaper. Across all Edit properties with a price, the median lowest nightly rate is $389. For the double-dip properties, it's $220, and 98 of them have a lowest nightly rate of $250 or less. That's the sweet spot: a 2-night stay that costs about as much as the two credits combined.
Credits vs. points: what you give up
You don't earn points on the credit-covered part of the stay. Chase's terms say the portion of a purchase covered by the Edit credit or the Select Brand credit earns no points. Normally Chase Travel hotel bookings earn 8 points per dollar, so $500 in credits means skipping about 4,000 Ultimate Rewards points. That's a small price for $500 off.
Hotel loyalty points are a separate question. Edit bookings at chain hotels often earn hotel points and elite night credit, but it depends on the brand and the rate. Add your loyalty number when you book and confirm with the hotel if it matters to you.
Points Boost is the alternative. Sapphire Reserve's Points Boost can make your points worth up to 2 cents each on select hotels booked through Chase Travel, including many Edit properties. If the stay costs far more than your credits cover, paying the balance with boosted points can beat cash. The Points vs Cash Calculator helps you decide.
Before you book: checklist
- Find an overlap property with the Select Brand checkbox turned on.
- Book through Chase Travel, prepaid ("Pay Now"), for 2 nights or more. Pay-at-hotel rates and bookings made directly with the hotel don't qualify for either credit.
- Check which Edit credits you've used this year. You get two per calendar year, one per booking.
- Confirm your Select Brand credit is unused. It's worth up to $250 total for 2026.
- Book well before December 31, 2026. Prepaid rates are charged at booking, and Chase notes that processing delays can push a purchase into the next credit period.
- Add your hotel loyalty number to the reservation.
What the Edit Hotels Map doesn't do
- It doesn't book anything. Bookings and credits happen in Chase Travel.
- Prices are indicative. Rates shown are nightly room rates before taxes and fees, and they change constantly. Your total in Chase Travel will be higher.
- It can't guarantee a credit posts. The double-dip filter is based on brand eligibility and reported data points. Chase decides what qualifies, and individual properties can be exceptions.
- Some properties don't have prices yet. A small share of hotels show "Price Unavailable" until we have reliable rates.
Frequently asked questions
What is The Edit by Chase Travel?
The Edit is Chase's collection of luxury and boutique hotels bookable through Chase Travel. Sapphire Reserve cardholders who book an Edit hotel get daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a room upgrade plus early check-in and late check-out when available.
How does the Sapphire Reserve Edit credit work?
You get up to $250 back on each prepaid Edit booking of 2 nights or more made through Chase Travel, up to $500 per calendar year. That means two separate qualifying stays to use the full amount. The credit posts automatically.
Can I use The Edit credit and the Select Brand credit on the same stay?
Cardholders have reported both credits posting on a single prepaid booking at hotels that are in The Edit and on the Select Brand list. Chase's terms don't explicitly rule it in or out, so treat it as likely but not guaranteed. The map's Select Brand checkbox shows the 171 properties where this overlap exists.
Which hotel brands qualify for the $250 Select Brand credit?
IHG Hotels & Resorts, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels and Pan Pacific. The booking must be prepaid, at least 2 nights, and made through Chase Travel by December 31, 2026.
Is the Select Brand credit coming back in 2027?
Chase hasn't announced it. It was introduced as a 2026-only benefit. If it isn't renewed, the Edit credit still works the same way, and this map is still the quickest way to find Edit hotels by destination and price.
How many hotels are in The Edit?
1,487 properties across 92 countries in our data, with 562 in the US. The map is updated daily, and the Recent changes button shows additions and removals.
Do I earn points on Edit bookings?
You earn 8 points per dollar on Chase Travel bookings, but not on the part of the purchase covered by the Edit or Select Brand credits. Many chain hotels also award loyalty points on Edit stays, though it varies by brand.
Where can I find the cheapest Edit hotels?
Sign in, then sort by lowest price. Turn on the Select Brand checkbox if you want the cheapest hotels where both credits apply. Open any hotel to see its 12-month price calendar and find the cheapest nights.
Make sure the credits actually get used
Hotel credits only help if you remember them. The Benefits Tracker tracks which Sapphire Reserve credits you've used and which are about to reset. If you're planning a trip, check the Exclusive Tables map for restaurants near your hotel that trigger the $150 dining credit, and the Hotel Credits Map to compare The Edit with other premium card hotel programs.
The bottom line
For 2026, the best Sapphire Reserve hotel booking is a prepaid 2-night stay at a property that's both in The Edit and on the Select Brand list. That one booking can return $500 in statement credits plus Edit perks, and up to $900 if your travel credit is still unused. The Edit Hotels Map finds those 171 hotels in seconds. The Select Brand credit expires December 31, so book before then.
