Platinum Points Plus earns 4 Membership Rewards points per krona in Sweden, which at 0.35 öre is about 1.4%, and 8 per krona abroad, about 2.8%. Amex Green's 1 point per krona is worth about 0.35%.

Swedish Membership Rewards is a separate program from US and German Membership Rewards, with its own partners and much higher ratios. Amex Sweden uses one ratio table for every card.

- **29:1 is the Swedish rate.** The 5:4 rate you may see quoted is German Membership Rewards. Sweden moved from 16:1 to 29:1 by April 2024 at the latest.
- **Not partners:** Marriott, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Finnair and Scandic.
- **EuroBonus and Scandic Friends** convert both ways for free: 1 EuroBonus point becomes 2 Scandic points, and 2 Scandic points become 1 EuroBonus point.

## SAS 2-for-1 vouchers

The SAS Amex cards don't come with lounge access. Instead, they earn 2-for-1 award vouchers: two people fly on an award ticket for the points price of one. Vouchers are earned by spending within a calendar year, and each is valid for the rest of that year plus the next.

The SEB SAS Mastercard Premium has Fly Premium instead: SAS Plus and Business award seats on SAS-operated flights at the economy points price.

## Lounge access

No personal SAS credit card includes lounge access on its own. In SAS lounges, access comes from EuroBonus status: since SAS joined SkyTeam on September 1, 2024, Gold, Diamond and Pandion members count as SkyTeam Elite Plus and get lounge access, while Silver does not. The cards that do include lounges are:

- **Amex Platinum and Platinum Points Plus (Sweden):** the Amex Global Lounge Collection, including Centurion lounges and the Amex Lounge at Stockholm Arlanda.
- **Amex Gold (Sweden):** Priority Pass with 4 visits a year.

- **SAS Business Executive:** 10 SAS lounge vouchers a year.

## What's changing

- **November 1, 2026:** the SAS Amex Classic starts charging 360 SEK a year; it was free before.
- **November 3, 2026:** Amex Sweden's "Members Month" welcome offers end. They cover the SAS Amex Premium (10,000 points), SAS Amex Elite (30,000), Gold Rewards (750,000 MR), Platinum (1,000,000 MR) and Platinum Points Plus (2,000,000 MR). Each pays half after month 7 and the rest after month 13, if you make a purchase every month.
- **November 20, 2026:** Amex Sweden has published new Membership Rewards terms from this date.

## How this data was checked

The Swedish cards were checked on October 18, 2026, against the issuers' product pages, SECCI pre-contract documents and voucher terms. The Norwegian issuers' websites refused automated access, so most Norwegian figures come from Kredittkortlisten, Kortio and AwardFares (dated September and October 2026), plus Amex Norway's SECCI for the SAS Amex Elite. Offers change often, so confirm the current offer on the issuer's site before you apply.
